Sound Survey 2018

We are creating a new sound resource for future generations by collecting songs and tunes from East Anglia’s Living Tradition.

Do you sing or play traditional music in East Anglia?
We want to hear from you.

Do you know a traditional song?
Do you play a traditional tune?
Have you ever played or sung infront of people?
Do you sing traditional songs at home or while driving?
Do you know someone else who does any of these things?
Have you ever learnt a song or tune from someone else?
Maybe you learnt a traditional song/tune from a recording or a person.

The East Anglian Traditional Music Trust are starting an exciting new project to collect songs and tunes from people who live in Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire & Essex.

We want to hear everything traditional!
All ages – All Abilities – Submit as many recordings as you like.
It doesn’t need to be professional quality recording.
Just find a quiet space and record a song on your phone and send it to us with a few details including name, age, home village, town or city.

Details of where and how to submit will be available in early 2018.
