David Cain

David Cain – Operations Manager (p/t)

David Cain was appointed Operations Manager of the East Anglian Traditional Music Trust in May 2018.

He is a historian and programme manager with over 20 years’ experience in leading regional, national, and international heritage and arts projects.

Most recently he managed the Heritage Lottery Fund programme Harwich Haven, that explores the social story of life on the Essex and Suffolk coast.

He also previously worked with the Poetry Trust, including delivery of the Aldeburgh International Poetry Festival at Snape.

David strongly believes in the power of music, art and heritage to educate, shape social awareness, and enable local people to keep the songs and stories of their towns and villages alive for future generations. He has an M.A in History from the University of Sussex.

Although a newcomer to the East Anglian traditional music scene, David enjoys all types of folk music. Whilst living on Dartmoor, he supported the annual Dartmoor Folk Festival at South Zeal. He also really loves a Ceilidh.
